About the Artist
Nathaniel Paisley is a final-year undergraduate in Music (BA) at the University of Bristol. Using his passion for jazz, modernism and folk music, Nathaniel has been able to create rousing and engaging musical works to be put to screen or performed in chamber ensemble settings. He has established close ties with the team at Roots Up Productions, designing soundtracks for the films they have premiered at student events and international showcases; this includes the score for short film “Grieved”, which won the award for “Best Short Film Director” at the Golden FEMI Film Festival.
Nathaniel is, first and foremost, dedicated to breathing life into what is portrayed on screen. He works closely with clients and is open to experimenting with unorthodox soundscapes in order to best fulfil the commission given. This same care extends to his independent works, where he can be seen consulting with conductors and performers to best match their skill level and desired tonal landscape.
